It’s the year 2017 and we have wavy eyebrows, flower/glitter beards, and way more dumb trends then one can keep track of. Its 2017, we have mean girls, bullies, jocks, and cliches. It's 2017, we at the CMHS are in, or near, our teenage years. It's 2017, and we still have a long time to go.
One might think, “What will happen in one hundred years? Will we finally have flying cars? Will there be cyborgs?” and I honestly can't answer those questions. It’s been said that they currently are working on flying cars and self driving cars, but if we have those within the next fifteen-thirty years, what more can we get in one hundred years? We could have modified enhancements or in other words, basically cyborgs. We could possibly have robot butlers, in which Anna Dyer is excited if we do.
We always talk about the new technology we are going to get, but we never talk about living quarters, food, and the environment around us. I believe that that we will possibly end the environment around us if we get all this new stuff. Not only with an exploding population that's already at seven billion people, but scientists believe that the population will double in the next hundred years or less. So with the new technology it could mean we might end up ruining our fresh breathable air.
Perhaps in one hundred years we all will live in pod rooms, shared houses that have compact areas/rooms that are full of random people you don't know. I believe this due to the fact that it saves room and space for more people on the planet. Food is another issue facing the humans in the future, especially if the human population increases in the next passing century. We would need to clear more areas for cattle, chickens, pigs, and vegetable farms. This means that we would be clearing more natural wildlife for our selfish needs. Maybe humans need a population control, rather than other animals.
In one hundred years we could all just be dead. For all we know there could have been a large plague spread vastly in all of the regions. In one hundred years, we could all be just fine. For all we know they stop inventing things that are harmful for the environment, causing the human population to sprout and blossom. In one hundred years… I hope to still be alive to see it all, and not a cyborg.
