LEAGUE OF LEGENDS
League of Legends is a MOBA teamwork and item based game. Based around many different champions, roles, and play styles. There are 3 points in a game where different champions excel and get strong power spikes from different times and items.
The beginning of the game is normally addressed as “Early Game”, the middle time of the game is “Mid game”, and to the end of the game or “Late game”. Champions with basic ability CC control the early game strongly. Pantheon, Darius, and Renekton are some of the powerful early games that can wreak havoc throughout the game from their very hard and aggressive early game CC. (crowd control)
Crowd Control(CC) is a very important part of LoL. Champions such as Nautilus or Leona come with extremely high CC. There is Stuns, Snares, Roots, Slows, Disables, Blinds, Silences, Fear, and even Charms. CC lets champions easily be taken out because their chance to return damage before they get wiped out is minimal, because of how locked down they are and easy to attack.
There are many different roles of champions and the map is split into 3 lanes. Top, Mid, Bot, and Jungle. The top laner normally goes with a tank bruiser role, to soak up all the damage and do small amounts in return. These are especially powerful when teamed up with high damage mages or a ADC or APC(Attack Damage Carry, Ability Power Carry). The mid laner is normally a mage or a strong assassin. Most are normally squishy(low base health) or they are sorta tank with less damage. A good example is Veigar, Veigar can do over 2000 damage with some spells. But his squishyness can get him killed often as he has one of the lowest health bases in LoL. The bottom lane has a ADC or APC accompanied with a Support to soak up damage and provide CC also while getting kills for the ADC or APC to do more damage. And for my favorite role, Jungle. Jungle is a role where you take the strong monsters in the Jungle between the 3 lanes. There is different monsters to kill that give you different buffs, and you gank lanes(come in to the lane to kill or force the enemy laner out).
Creep Score(CS) is the most reliable income in LoL, minions spawn in lanes and if you get the killing blow on them a small amount of gold is awarded to you. A normal amount of CS for a Top laner is about 150-200 by 20 mins. CS wins games by how much gold it gives you, so its very important to collect it. For the Jungler, he/she takes camps for gold.
In the Jungle there are many camps such as Red Buff, Blue Buff, Gromp, Raptors, Wolves, Rift Scuttle, and Krugs. They each provide different buffs or improvements to your character. Red gives a burning effect after each auto attack. Blue regenerates mana quicker and gives 10% CDR(Cool Down Reduction). Gromp hurts people when they attack you. Raptors let you see wards(totems that reveal an area and give vision when nobody is watching it) Wolves show anyone that enters your Top Jungle or Bottom Jungle depending on what side of the arena you are on. Rift Scutter places a ring in one of the rivers, giving your allies a movement speed buff when they pass through it. Krugs stuns a Jungle monster every 6th auto attack you land on it.
Each lane has a Outer Tower, Inner Tower, and Inhibitor Tower, accompanied by a Inhibitor. If you destroy the enemies inhibitor, it'll make your minions into Super Minions! Which can help win the game from their immense strength.
There are 2 massive beasts in the 2 rivers of the Rift. Top River has Baron, the most powerful and tanky monster in the game. It normally takes a fully built team of 5 to take on the huge monster. When killed, it rewards a faster recall(Teleporting back to base, Attack Damage and Ability Power Amps, and empowers your minions to take a lot more damage.) In the Bottom River, there's the Dragon. A less powerful monster, but still strong, it rewards in 5 stacking buffs for every time you slay it.
