So you're failing a class, and your being forced to go to practice. People keep saying you have time you just don't use it wisely. But 8 classes plus worrying about your grades and skills in and out of school then home chores, do we really have time?
Yes I’m on your side. Your parents probably think vice versa then that situation above, but from my experience my parents are both.
Go to school, get your work done, do your homework before practice even though you have 15 minutes and when you get home at 5:30 don’t bother showering or doing your chores just do your homework.
But this is a serious problem with some parents who can be just a little to sports obsessed for their own kids. I’d honestly rather go get a great grade in math before I get to go practice.
Sorry, I’m venting.
Anyway… if you would rather go to practice and avoid your school grades and work, thats a bad decision I’ll bluntly say. Because in high school those grades determine your life after school. They impact it greatly, so go on get your work done.
I’m coming off super blunt I know, got to get the point across. Even if it's your parents having you make those decisions or so, just talk it out. Just go fix that grade! Trust me you’ll be happier, your parents will be, and your future self is going to be so successful.
Work with a tutor teacher, or successful friend. It will help, trust me I struggle with a grade in math. I’ll hang out with Mrs. Baker after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays (she tutors for math), or go talk to Garlock after school. It’s helpful, so please if your struggling with math, science, geo, english etc. just ask. It doesn’t hurt to ask for help, in fact the teachers want you to ask! And if you do, stop talking and goofing around in class, that’s not going to get your diploma.
